Workshop between INEAS and Saudi centre for accreditation of health facilities

A workshop was held on Wednesday between the National Authority for Evaluation and Accreditation in Healthcare (INEAS) and the Saudi Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions (CBAHI) during which both sides reviewed the experience of the two countries in setting up national accreditation systems in the health sector. The workshop chaired by Minister of Health Ali Mrabet, in the presence of Saudi Minister of Health, Fahd bin Abdulrahman Al-Jalajel, aims to benefit from the scientific and practical experience of the two institutions and to explore ways of revitalising the partnership between the two parties. The INEAS and the CBAHI signed in 2018 a memorandum of understanding to establish common criteria for the accreditation of health facilities. Ali Mrabet stressed the importance of the exchange of experience and knowledge between the two health institutions and their role in developing health systems and improving the quality of health care and services. The Health Minister called for us ing the experience of the fruitful partnership between the two countries to establish an Arab health accreditation network, which would bring together the structures involved in health evaluation and accreditation in Arab countries and provide technical assistance to Arab and African countries that have not yet established accreditation systems. The Saudi Minister of Health, for his part, commended the level of Tunisian-Saudi cooperation in the health sector and expressed his country's willingness to strengthen and diversify this cooperation.
