President Kais Saied chaired on Monday a working session at Carthage Palace, attended by Prime Minister Ahmed Hachani and several members of the government, to discuss ways of supporting the Palestinian people in the diplomatic and health fields, especially by providing them with the necessary medicines, surgical instruments and blood donations. According to a statement issued by the presidency, the meeting also discussed ways to support the Palestinian people by providing electricity generators following the power cut in much of the Gaza Strip. "Contacts were held between the Tunisian Red Crescent and the Palestinian Red Crescent to determine the needs of the Palestinian brothers in their confrontation with the Zionist enemy," the statement said. The meeting also discussed the possibility of transferring a number of wounded Palestinians to Tunisia, as well as the possibility of sending specialised Tunisian doctors and paramedics to Palestine. The meeting was attended by Imed Memiche, Minister of Defence, Nabil Ammar, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad, Malek Zahi, Minister of Social Affairs, Ali Mrabet, Minister of Health, Mustapha Ferjani, Advisor to the President, and Abdellatif Chabou, President of the Tunisian Red Crescent. The Palestinian resistance groups in the Gaza Strip, led by the Hamas movement, launched in the early hours of Saturday the "Al-Aqsa Flood", a qualitative military operation that inflicted significant material and human losses on the occupying enemy. The Israeli warplanes bombed the Gaza Strip, causing material and human losses among the Palestinians. The exchange of shelling between the Israeli and Palestinian sides continues to this day.
