Interior Minister Kamel Feki and Algeria's Minister of Interior, Local Authorities and Regional Planning Brahim Merad on Tuesday signed in Algiers a roadmap to develop the two countries' border regions. The roadmap was inked on the occasion of holding the 1st session of the joint commission for the development and upgrading of the Tunisian-Algerian border regions, an Interior Ministry press release on Wednesday reads. Feki was received on Tuesday by Algerian Prime Minister Nadir Larbaoui. The meeting offered an opportunity to review the recommendations issued from this first joint commission meeting. Recall Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed announced yesterday the return of aircraft from Italy and he stated that it marks a historic milestone for Ethiopia with the handover of 'Tsehay' to the Government of Ethiopia by the Italian authorities. Ambassador Taye shared on his X page that this is a diplomatic success based on understanding and true friendship. The history of Ethiopian Aviation is fascinating and driven by the desire to explore, the advisor noted. 'In the late 1920s we trained the first men and women pilots in Jigiga. The first aircraft, 'Tsehay' was built in 1935. After over eight decades stay in Italy the aircraft is coming back home. This is a diplomatic success based on understanding and true friendship.'
