Trials on assassination of Chokri Belaid and Mohamed Brahmi postponed to December 15 and January 5 respectively

The trials of the assassination of Chokri Belaid and Mohamed Brahmi were postponed to December 15 and January 5, 2024, respectively said, Friday, Spokesperson for the Counter Terrorism Judicial Unit Hanen Gaddes. She told TAP that all the accused were heard, on Friday, and appeared before the Specialized Criminal Chamber, adding that the hearing was attended by their respective lawyers and members of the defense collective of the two martyrs. Secretary General of the United Democratic Patriots Party (PPDU), Chokri Belaid, was assassinated on February 6, 2013 near his home in El Menzah VI, governorate of Ariana. Six months later, on July 25 of the same year, the General Coordinator of the Popular Current and Member of the National Constituent Assembly, Mohamed Brahmi, was also murdered.
