Traffic stopped at Wazen border crossing by decision of Libyan authorities without prior notice

Traffic at the Dhehiba-Wazen border crossing was stopped on Thursday evening without prior notice and by decision of the Libyan authorities, who prevented Libyan cars from entering Tunisia and Tunisian cars from entering Libya, a security source told TAP's correspondent in the region.

The authorities at the Libyan border crossing allow Tunisian cars to return home and receive only Libyan cars returning to them.

The reasons for the suspension of traffic and its duration are unknown.

Security and customs authorities at the Dhehiba crossing continued their normal duties until the crossing reopens.
