TABC conducts multi-sector economic mission to Cameroon October 8-14

The Tunisia-Africa Business Council (TABC) is conducting a multi-sector economic mission to Cameroon October 8-14, in partnership with the Tunisian Embassy in Yaoundé. The mission is conducted in close collaboration with the Groupement Inter-patronal du Cameroun (GICAM), Cameroon's Investment Promotion Agency (A.P.I) and Cameroon's Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Crafts (CCIMA), as part of the deployment of its 2023 programme, according to a press release issued by TABC. The mission, which was led by TABC Chairman Anis Jaziri, involved some twenty Tunisian companies from various sectors in BtoB and BtoG meetings in Douala and Yaoundé, as well as institutional meetings, and culminated in the Tunisian-Cameroonian economic forum held on Thursday in Yaoundé. The mission aims to identify opportunities on the Cameroonian market for Tunisian products and services, and to establish business contacts with professionals and various economic players in Cameroon with a view to boosting and diversifying partnerships, investment and exports on this market. Cameroon was chosen for this mission because it is considered to be a hub for Central Africa, and the country's economy has the potential to become one of the most prosperous and best-placed countries for foreign direct investment in Africa. The country boasts abundant natural resources (agricultural, oil and mining), a diversified economy, numerous infrastructure modernisation projects underway and monetary stability thanks to its membership of the CFA franc zone.
