Second phase of Zarzis Smart Centre nears completion

MEDENINE: Works on the second phase of the Zarzis Smart Centre are nearing completion, at a cost of TND 13 million, 50% of which comes from a German grant. This second phase covers an area of 4,500 m2, for a total of 7,000 m2 between the two phases, implemented with a view to achieving an employment capacity of over 1,200 jobs of engineers and senior technicians, Centre Manager Chaouki Fria told TAP, indicating that the official opening is scheduled for next May. Equipped with the most advanced technologies, notably in the medical, tourist, industrial, cultural and cinematographic fields, the centre will be the first in Tunisia and the second in Africa to adopt the latest modern technologies in this field, he specified. This cutting-edge technology will make the centre a major platform for companies specialised in virtual reality, whether they are active in the health, industry, games software, training, engineering or town planning sectors, he pointed out. The completion of the second phase of this space "will open up wide horizons for entrepreneurs in innovative sectors to access major investment fields," the official underlined, announcing the signing of 6 new project agreements within the centre.
