Renaissance cruise ship docks at Sfax port with 277 tourists on board

The "Renaissance" cruise ship docked on Thursday at the commercial port of Sfax, with 277 tourists and 532 crew members on board. Three sightseeing tours have been scheduled for the guests of Sfax city, namely the Medina, the tourist route between the Medina and the Bread Museum and the Sfax saltworks, in addition to a tour in the neighbouring towns of Mahdia and El Jem, Local Commissioner to Tourism in Sfax Fathi Zrida told TAP. The official voiced wish that this tourism product will boost tourism-related sectors such as hotels, restaurants, travel agencies and handicrafts. Tourists have so far visited the emblematic historical monuments of Sfax city, such as the Sfax Wall, "Souk Rbaa," "Souk El Hout," etc., expressing in statements to TAP their admiration for the historical sites and the magnificent range of handicrafts on display in Sfax city.
