Prime Minister Ahmed Hachani met on Saturday in Addis Ababa with Algerian Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf. The meeting, which took place within the framework of the Prime Minister's participation in the 37th Ordinary Session of the African Union (AU) Assembly of the Heads of State and Government held from February 16 to 18 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, discussed the deep relations of brotherhood and exceptional cooperation between Tunisia and Algeria. It was also an opportunity to reaffirm the determination of the two countries' leaders to strengthen and diversify them in all fields, according to a statement from the Prime Ministry. The two sides also praised the results of the 22nd session of the Algerian-Tunisian Joint Commission for Cooperation and reaffirmed the need to follow up its results and develop trade. Efforts should be stepped up to develop border regions and open up new horizons for cooperation between the two countries, it was indicated in the same statement. Hachani and Attaf also discussed regio nal and international developments, in particular the Palestinian issue and the situation in Gaza and Rafah. The two parties pledged to continue their joint work to find a lasting solution to the Palestinian issue and to restore the stolen rights of the Palestinian people.
