President Saied meets Minister of Public Works, stresses need to complete major projects

President Kais Saied, in a meeting with Minister of Public Works and Housing Sarra Zaafrani Zanzari at the ministry's headquarters on Friday, stressed the need to complete major projects despite difficulties and obstacles and attempts by people associated with lobbies to question the state's ability to carry them out. In this context, he stressed, according to a video released by the Presidency, that these people will not be able to obstruct the State, including the work carried out by the Minister of Public Works. These pages, which he described as paid, "deserve only contempt and let their owners know that they will not achieve their goal", he said. The Head of State pointed out the need to work on purging the administration of those who infiltrate and work only to attack the state from within. He stressed the need to apply the law to them, saying that "they have chosen to disrupt the state and citizens and will not get what they want". He pointed to the major projects that the state will work on under the supervision of the Ministry of Public Works, including the Medical City in Kairouan. The president said that his visit to the headquarters of the Ministry of Public Works is a message to those who are trying from within the ministry to disrupt and destroy the state, stressing that the state is not run by those who have falsified diplomas. For her part, the Minister of Public Works stressed that no one can disrupt the work of the ministry, saying "we work within the law and it applies to everyone and our goal is to complete projects". She explained that many projects are being resolved despite the existence of fraud in the documents of several contractors, which are being addressed.
