President Kais Saied focuses on general security situation and fight against monopoly

The general security situation in the country and the fight against monopolies as the month of Ramadan approaches were discussed at a meeting on Wednesday afternoon at Carthage Palace between President Kais Saied, Interior Minister Kamel Feki, Director General of National Security Mourad Saidane and Director General and Commander of the National Guard Hassine Gharbi. President Kais Saied stressed the need for concerted efforts by all state bodies to enforce the law and dismantle networks that seek illegal profits and inflame social conditions, according to a statement issued by the Presidency of the Republic. The president was referring to the fact that those he described as "corruption lobbies" had recently distributed funds in a number of cities across the country to some people to take part in "pre-paid protests, the purpose of which is despicable and scandalous and is known to the Tunisian people". The head of state was quoted in the statement as stressing that there is no tolerance for "those who thro w themselves into the arms of foreign circles." The President of the Republic also called for "the prosecution of a number of agents of the Zionist movement and the application of the provisions of the penal code regarding attacks on the external security of the state". "A number of people who pretended to be on the side of the Palestinian people were informers and were still receiving money from the usurping aggressor Zionists," he pointed out, according to the statement. The President of the Republic said that "it is a strange irony that those who openly admitted their treason and conspiracy and denounced from abroad the right of the Palestinian people to fully recover their land have not been prosecuted by any Tunisian court". He added that "the one who publicly admitted that his 2019 election campaign was supported by the Zionist movement, has now become an opponent abroad and is still receiving millions of dollars from the same movement to harm his country. " The president also pointed to preparatio ns to send paid media and broadcast television programmes, or launch pages on social media platforms for this purpose. In the same context, the President of the Republic said that "one of those who presents himself every day as an expert in politics and strategies, was previously nominated in the list of one of the parties paid by the Zionist who freely roamed the corridors of the Bardo Palace and dictated his decisions to blow up the state and society," according to the same statement.
