Preparing to set up Tunisian-Libyan electronic portal

A Tunisian-Libyan electronic portal will be set up to facilitate relations and trade between economic operators in the two countries. This information was announced on Monday by the Tunis Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCITUNIS) during a working session with a delegation from the Benghazi Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture currently visiting Tunisia, according to a press release issued by the Centre for the Promotion of Exports (CEPEX) on Tuesday. The meeting focused notably on ways of developing economic and trade cooperation between the two countries and the need to consolidate the Tunisian economic fabric in the eastern regions of Libya. The two sides underlined the need to provide investment opportunities for Tunisian economic operators in the fields of industry, agriculture, trade and hospitals. The delegation from the Benghazi Chamber pointed out that foreign investors enjoy financial and tax exemptions in Libya. They called for forging more partnerships between companies in the two countries, and for encouraging more Tunisian companies to take part in major trade events in Benghazi in 2024.
