PM Hachani meets new government members

Prime Minister Ahmed Hachani met the new members of his government at the Kasbah Palace on Wednesday, according to a statement from the Prime Ministry. They are Minister of Economy and Planning Feryel Ouerghi Sebai, Secretary of State to the Minister of Economy and Planning for Small and Medium Enterprises Samir Abdelhafedh, Minister of Industry, Mines and Energy Fatma Thabet Chiboub, Secretary of State to the Minister of Industry, Mines and Energy for Energy Transition Wael Chouchen, Minister of Employment and Vocational Training Lotfi Dhiab and Secretary of State to the Minister of Employment and Vocational Training for Communitarian Companies Riadh Chaoued. The new members of the government were sworn in before President Kais Saied earlier in the day. Hachani welcomed the new members and wished them success in their new roles. He urged them to make every effort to bring about a further qualitative leap in the functioning of various relevant ministries. The Prime Minister also urged them to achieve mor e efficiency in government work, all within the framework of a spirit of responsibility and safeguarding the higher interests of the nation. President Saied appointed three new ministers and three new secretaries of state in the current government on Wednesday morning. These appointments cover portfolios related to the economy, industry, energy and employment. These appointments fill vacancies in the ministries of economy and planning (since October 2023), industry, mines and energy (since May 2023), and employment and vocational training (since February 2023). The new appointments include the creation of a new position within the government structure, namely a Secretary of State to the Minister of Employment and Vocational Training, in charge of communitarian companies.
