Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed said under the 'Bounty of the Basket' (Ye Lemat Tirufat) program milk, poultry and meat production rates have marked good results in the last Ethiopian calendar year. 'Bounty of the Basket' (Ye Lemat Tirufat) is a national government program being implemented to improve dairy, poultry, egg, honey, fish and meat production, Abiy posted on social media today. 'In the past Ethiopian calendar year, milk production, poultry and meat production rates have marked good results as per the plan,' Abiy said. Nevertheless, he stressed it requires concerted efforts to ensure better productivity results in the current year. The government of Ethiopia is engaged in intensifying and diversifying agricultural development activities with a view to ensuring food self-sufficiency, import substitution and encourage export trade.
