Addis Ababa: Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has declared that Ethiopia's economic revival is set to commence in the current fiscal year. The statement was part of his response to inquiries from members of the House of Peoples Representatives concerning the address delivered by President Taye Atske Selassie during the joint session of the HPR and House of Federation held last month. According to Ethiopian News Agency, the Prime Minister emphasized that the nation has successfully concluded reforms across all sectors over the past six years, achieving significant milestones. Abiy highlighted the beginning of the comprehensive macroeconomic reform implementation, marking the start of the revival phase in this fiscal year. The Prime Minister further explained that the next phase aims to consolidate the achievements made thus far. He assured that all necessary preparations and mechanisms are in place to achieve a GDP growth target of 8.4 percent for the current fiscal year.
