Pilot project Together for Inclusive Health launched

Pilot project Together for Inclusive Health kicked off Wednesday in Kairouan, at the initiative of the Tunisian Organisation for the Defence of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (French: OTDDPH),

The project targets the governorates of Kairouan, Tozeur, Gafsa and Sousse in a first stage. It is designed to foster health education among people with disabilities, President of the civil society organisation Yosry Mazati told TAP on Thursday.

A pound 60,000 funding agreement is set to be signed Thursday with Doctors of the World under the supervision of the Health Ministry.

This project aims to raise awareness among healthcare professionals about the human rights approach in relation to persons with disabilities. It also seeks to ease their access to social coverage.
