Addis Ababa: The Ethiopian National Dialogue Commission has today commenced agenda gathering consultations in Sidam region at Hawasa city. According to the Commission, some 1,800 representatives drawn from all segments of the society have been participating at the consultation forum that will be held for the coming one week. Representatives of 45 districts in the region, political parties, institutions, governmental and non-governmental organizations and prominent persons are participating in the forum. The participants are expected to identify agenda items that they think are vital to ensuring sustainable peace and development in the country. The identified agendas will be delivered to the commission for further deliberations at the next level of the national dialogue conference.
