The University of Monastir has just been awarded ISO 9001 international certification, as the first Tunisian university to earn this quality standard certificate. The certificate was awarded as part of the quality support programme to improve the strategic management of universities, funded by the World Bank, acting vice-president of the University of Monastir Sana Salah told TAP on Monday, pointing out that the resources allocated to the accreditation project are worth TND 200 thousand. The University of Monastir succeeded in winning this accreditation as a Tunisian administration providing services aimed at promoting higher education, scientific research, international cooperation, employability, entrepreneurship and openness to the environment, she indicated.
