Ministerial working session decides to draft legislation to regularise precarious work situations

Tunis: A ministerial working session, chaired Wednesday by Prime Minister Ahmed Hachani, focused on legislation on precarious emplopyment in the civil service and the public sector. It was decided to draft the necessary legislation to regularise precarious work situations pending its submission to a Cabinet meeting, the Prime Ministry said in a press release. PM Hachani emphasised the need to find practical and feasible solutions to various precarious work situations, in line with the principle of decent work and fair wages and in response to President Kais Saied's decisions aimed to combat all forms of insecure employment. The meeting also reviewed the general framework, challenges and potential solutions while taking into account the interests of the administration and the current state of public finances. The meeting was attended by Finance Minister Sihem Boughdiri Nemsia, Economy and Planning Minister Feryel Ouerghi Sebai, Social Affairs Minister Kamel Maddouri, and Secretary of State to the Minister of Employment and Vocational Training in charge of Communitarian Companies Riadh Chaouad.
