Meeting the needs of Italian companies based in Tunisia for Tunisian competences at heart of working session

A working session devoted to the furtherance state of the programme to meet the needs of Italian companies based in Tunisia in terms of Tunisian competences and manpower was held on Wednesday at the Ministry of Employment and Vocational Training seat.

The working session is part of the support to the Tunisian-Italian cooperation in the vocational training and employment field, aimed at meeting the needs of Italian companies in Tunisia, which are estimated in a first stage at 300 jobs among university graduates, holders of vocational training diplomas and workers, out of a total of 6,000 jobs to be filled in 2023.

This session follows on from the information day organised on April 28, by the Italian Embassy in Tunis in partnership with the Ministry of Employment and Vocational Training, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad and the Tunisian-Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry to announce new cooperation projects in the vocational training and employment field and with a view to meeting the needs of Italian economic companies based in Tunisia in terms of competences and manpower.

It was agreed during the meeting to entrust a joint working team with monitoring the progress of the operation to identify the needs of these companies.

A detailed overview of the actions undertaken by the Employment and Self-Employment Offices to implement this project was presented on this occasion, including direct coordination with Italian economic institutions in the regions and the formulation of proposals to overcome certain difficulties, including the lack of certain specialties requested.
