Over 864,000 operations to update the electoral register had been recorded by the end of the deadline set by the Independent High Authority for Elections (ISIE) on December 8 at midnight, said ISIE spokesman Mohamed Tlili Mnasri. Contacted on Saturday by TAP, Mnasri added that 2 million 661 thousand and 62 voters had checked their details on the electoral register using the SMS service. The checking of the voting centre in which the voter is registered will continue until the polling day on December 24, he added. Mnasri also pointed out that the election campaign is continuing in all the constitencies, without any serious electoral offences being recorded. Some offences have been reported, such as the use of the national flag and election posters, he said.
