Interior Minister Kamel Feki met, on Wednesday, at the ministry's headquarters, US ambassador to Tunisia, Joey Hood, and the delegation accompanying him. During the meeting, "the relations of close partnership between the two parties and the means to strengthen them" were reviewed in the various fields of bilateral cooperation, notably in the fight against terrorism, organised crime and irregular migration, the ministry said in a statement issued this evening. The two parties also examined the progress of the completion of joint projects underway. Ambassador Hood reiterated his condolences to the families of the victims of the criminal act that took place on the island of Djerba on May 9 and praised the promptness of the Tunisian security units in their rapid and effective response to the perpetrator and the protection of Tunisia's guests.
