Interior Minister, Japanese Ambassador discuss cooperation between Interior Ministries

Bilateral cooperation programmes between the Ministries of Interior of Tunisia and Japan, and means to enhance them, took centre stage in a meeting on Tuesday in Tunis between Interior Minister Kamel Feki and Ambassador of Japan in Tunis Takeshi Osuga alongside the accompanying delegation. Both sides underscored the development of relations between the two nations, particularly by granting Tunisia the opportunity to host the eighth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD 8) in August 2022, as well as the third session of the Japan-Tunisia dialogue on security and counter-terrorism, held on December 5 and 6, 2023. Minister Feki emphasised the promptness of security units in preserving general security and social stability throughout the territory, especially in tourist areas, affirming the country's readiness to welcome Japanese tourists and businesspersons.
