Industrial Upgrade Programme Committee approves 416 industrial upgrade and technological investment files

The advisory committee of the Industrial Upgrading Programme of Companies approved, on Friday, 119 industrial upgrade files and 297 priority technological investment files (ITP), for a total of investment estimated at 348 million dinars, according to data published by the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Energy. Data presented during the Commission meeting indicates that the textile and clothing sector ranked first in terms of the number of approved files with 42 files for investments of 88 million dinars, followed by the mechanical and electrical industries sector with 27 files for a total investment estimated at 78 million dinars. The approved files cover the period from May 2023 until today. The meeting made it possible to examine the means of ensuring the continuity of the development of the industrial fabric and the sustainability of businesses by granting, investments in the reduction of greenhouse emissions and the circular economy, implementation advantages at the industrial level. The meeting, org anized at the headquarters of the Ministry of Industry, was chaired by Head of cabinet to the Minister of Industry, Ahlem Béji Sayeb, in the presence of Vice-president of the Tunisian Confederation of Industry, Trade, and Handicrafts Hichem Elloumi, and member of the executive office of UTICA, Khaled sallemi, as well as permanent members of the committee and representatives of the ministries of commerce, economy, planning, finance and the environment and the financial and banking sector, in addition to Director General of the industrial upgrading office, Kamal Hindaoui.
