Addis Ababa: Minister of Irrigation and Lowlands, Abraham Belay discussed with the Associate Vice President of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), Donal Brown along with senior delegates from IFAD. The discussion focused on ongoing projects and completion Lowlands Livelihood Resilience Project I. On the occasion, the Associate Vice President emphasized the significance of this partnership as the largest in Africa and one of IFAD's most effective collaborations. He expressed gratitude to the Ethiopian government for its transformative and recent Economic Reform Policy and expressed optimism about increasing resource allocations to support ongoing and future initiatives, including the ministry's groundbreaking Climate-Resilient Irrigation for Sustainable Production (CRISP) and Small-Scale Irrigation projects. The Minister of Irrigation and Lowlands, Abraham Belay for his part highlighted the recent fast-paced progress of our projects, emphasizing irrigation as a key entry point fo r driving agricultural transformation.
