Government action over past days at centre of meeting between President of Republic and Prime Minister

The government action during the last days was the focus of the meeting between President of the Republic, Kais Saied, on Wednesday afternoon, at Carthage Palace, with Prime Minister Najla Bouden Romdhane, said a statement of the Presidency of the Republic. During the meeting, the file of confiscated property was also discussed as well as the need to accelerate the end of this situation, which has been extended by all those who seek to seize again the people's property and aim by devious means to neglect these properties until they are sold at the lowest price. The meeting also dealt with the economic and social conditions and the financial balance of the State, in this context the President of the Republic affirmed that the State will not give up its social role, calling to work for the achievement of the legitimate demands of the Tunisian people for justice and equity. The President of the Republic reaffirmed his firm determination to fight against corruption and to hold accountable those who have corrupted the State and society, within the framework of the law.
