Chief of Staff of the Ethiopian National Defense Forces, Field Marshal General Berhanu Jula, is in South Africa for an official working visit.
Field Marshal General Berhanu travelled to South Africa at the invitation of the Chief of the South African Defense Forces, General Rudzani Maphwanya.
Field Marshal was accorded a grand reception and was saluted by military parade at the South African Defense Headquarters.
During the occasion, Field Marshal Berhanu met with Thandi Modise, Minister of Defense of South Africa.
The long-standing historical relations between Ethiopia and South Africa and their peoples has laid a strong foundation for the military cooperation that has been growing from time to time, Field Marshal Berhanu said, adding that they will work with commitment to expanding the ranges of cooperation and elevate it to a higher level.
