Feki, Algeria’s Boughlef discuss cooperation in civil protectionForeign Affairs State Minister Confers With US Special Envoy for Horn of Africa

Interior Minister Kamel Feki met Tuesday with Director General of the Civil Defence of Algeria Boualem Boughlef. The two officials focused on cooperation relations and ways to foster them. The talk discussed the possibility of updating the cooperation agreement inked in 1985 to bring it in line with changes in legislation of both countries and modern working methods, reads a ministry press release. The 1985 agreement provides for cooperation and mutual assistance in civil protection. The talk takes place as part of Boughlef's participation in works of the civil protection cooperation commission held Janaury 23-24 in Tabarka. Source: Agence Tunis Afrique Presse Addis Ababa: State Minister for the Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia, Ambassador Mesganu Arga held a discussion with US Special Envoy for the Horn of Africa, Ambassador Mike Hammer, at his office today. On the occasion, Ambassador Mesganu expressed that Ethiopia and the USA are key allies that have robust and long-standing relations. He further explained the peacebuilding and consolidation efforts of the Ethiopian Government.
