Addis Ababa: A high-level Ethiopian delegation led by Foreign Affairs State Minister, Ambassador Misganu Arga is participating in the 4th Sherpas/Sous-Sherpas meeting of the BRICS countries. The delegation is taking part in the meeting that is being held in Kazan, the Russian Federation from 17 -24, October 2024, it was indicated. The meeting, under the current chairship of the Russian Federation has brought together representatives from Brazil, China, Egypt, Ethiopia, India, Iran, UAE, Saudi Arabia, and South Africa. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia revealed that the meeting of Sherpas and Sous-Sherpas will continue discussing the draft Kazan Declaration, and the draft Modalities of BRICS Partner Country Category. The 16th BRICS Leaders' Summit will take place from October 22-24, 2024, in Kazan, the Russian Federation under the theme: 'Strengthening Multilateralism for Just Global Development and Security.'
