Ethiopia Paying Attention to Tackle Impacts of Antimicrobial Resistance

Addis Ababa: Minister of Health Dr. Mekdes Daba, at the 79th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA79), announced that Ethiopia will be prioritizing efforts to mitigate the threat caused by antimicrobial resistance. Speaking at a forum of senior officials dedicated to antimicrobial resistance, Dr. Mekdes expressed Ethiopia's commitment to addressing the negative effects through enhanced awareness, monitoring, and research activities. The minister emphasized that tackling this global threat requires international cooperation.
