CNOT observes International Olympic Day

Tunis: The Tunisian National Olympic Committee (CNOT) held Sunday an events in Tunis in observance of the International Olympic Day, with the participation of several federations and athletes who booked a Paris 2024 Olympics spot. A 5 km race for all, archery and rowing demonstrations and dance shows were on the agenda. The event, chaired by CNOT President and member of the International Olympic Committee Mehrez Boussayène, saw rower Khadija Krimi - who qualified for Paris 2024 Olympics- hand over the national and Olympic flags to former Olympic championship Habiba Gheribi. "We are confident our champions Khalil Jendoubi, Firas Gattoussi, Karem Ben Hnia and Ahmed Jawadi can take up the challenge" in Olympics, Boussayène said. France's Ambassador to Tunisia Anne Guéguen hailed the fruitful cooperation with the CNOT over throughout this year so as to address obstacles, ease visa procedures and facilitate logistics in relation to the Tunisian participation in this international sports events.
