Cloud labels to be granted IT services (Ministry of Technologies)

The National Cyber Security Agency (ANCS) will award labels «National Cloud IT Service Provider (N-Cloud)» and «Governmental Cloud IT Service Provider (G-Cloud)» as part of implementing the national strategy for the Cloud. A standard for labeling cloud IT service providers (N-Cloud and G-Cloud) has been developed for this purpose. Tunisia currently has a large network of local companies and startups, which expressed their need for Cloud services, according to the benchmark published by the Ministry of Communication Technologies on Sunday. To meet these needs, it is imperative to develop a data center market that is both large and mature, supported by a rigorous labeling policy put in place by the State. The goal of the new qualification framework is to supervise national cloudification projects and properly promote resources and solutions based on the Cloud. It also seeks to guarantee digital sovereignty and implement a sovereign Cloud offer on the market to properly control the location of hosting and technological dependence. The document in question will also promote the secure extension of the perimeter of the national Cloud and the government Cloud as well as improve the capacity and quality of hosting applications and services on a national scale.
