Classes suspended in several Tunisian schools and universities in protest at bombing of al-Ahli Arab hospital in Gaza

Several schools, universities and training centres have decided to suspend classes on Wednesday, which has been dubbed the "Day of Anger," following a call by several Tunisian organisations, trade unions, political parties and civil society to condemn the killing of more than 500 Palestinians by the Zionist occupation army following the bombing of al-Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza on Tuesday night. Pupils, students and teachers took part in mass protests in several Tunisian cities. Participants in these protests raised the Palestinian flag and strongly condemned the massacres committed by the Zionist occupation forces against the Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip. The Secretary General of the General Federation of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Nizar Ben Salah, told TAP the federation had called on its members to participate in the "Day of Anger' to denounce the deadly attack on this hospital in Gaza.
