CEPEX launches call for participation in “Africa Trade Boost Event”

Tunis: The Centre for Export Promotion (CEPEX) launched a call for participation in an event titled "Africa Trade Boost Event," as part of its role in the ongoing project focused on market integration in Tunisia, Egypt, and Morocco within the broader African regional markets. This initiative is supported by the European Union under its "EU Trade and Competitiveness programme," managed by EY Tunisia (Ernst and Young) in collaboration with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). The event aims to bolster the integration of Tunisian SMEs into Sub-Saharan African markets, specifically targeting Senegal, Côte d'Ivoire, Benin, Nigeria, Kenya, and Ghana. The event will include two training sessions: one session is on "Exploring Business Opportunities with the AfCFTA and COMESA in Sub-Saharan Africa" and another one on "Risk Sharing and Pricing Strategies for Sub-Saharan African Markets." Additionally, a B2B online platform will be available, providing Tunisian businesses with opportunities t o establish potential partnerships and connect with new clients. Eligibility criteria for participation are as follows: - The enterprise must be an SME with a workforce between 1 and 249 employees as well as an annual turnover not exceeding pound 50 million. - The business should be involved in the production and/or distribution of one of the following three products/services: electrical cables, ceramic tiles, or information and communication technology (ICT), specifically software development.
