Broiler meat production edged up 3.9% to 83,000 tonnes at the end July compared to the same period last year, data published Tuesday by the National Observatory of Agriculture (French: ONAGRI) show. The average monthly price also posted an upward trend, growing 2.3% compared to July 2022. A 9.5% drop was reported, meanwhile, in comparison with June. Production of eggs for consumption reached 1,064,700, up 6.1% compared with the same period last year. The average monthly price of eggs fell 9.3% and 18.1% in comparison with July 2022 and June 2023, respectively.
