Bizerte-Elections: Four candidates start their electoral activities

The election campaign for the local council elections in the governorate of Bizerte was launched on Saturday, with 325 candidates taking part in 106 constituencies spread over 14 delegations. On the first day of the campaign, four electoral activities were recorded. These activities were led by candidate Yosri Abassi in the constituency of Tinja 2 (Tinja delegation), Marouane Baloumi and Dalila Hermi in El Masyda (Bizerte-sud delegation), and candidate Maysa Ben Hsine in Aousja 2. Moujib Guediche, President of the IRIE in Bizerte, told TAP the election commission had begun validating the leaflets and programmes of the candidates' electoral activities. He added that 98 observers recruited by the IRIE have received training on the rules of the electoral campaign, while 1,721 members of polling stations will be supervised by 15 trainers on the voting operation on polling day. The governorate of Bizerte comprises 106 constituencies, not including the island of Galite, and 102 localities.
