Ben Arous hosts regional day on national consultation on education reform

The Ben Arous Regional Education Committee, on Sunday, held a regional day to raise awareness about the national consultation on education reform. Several activities and open workshops were on the agenda. Minister of Education Mohamed Ali Boughdiri, who chaired the event along with Ben Arous Governor Ezzedine Chelbi, said that this event aims to further raise awareness about the national consultation and its priorities, and the importance of participating in it, given its significance in shaping the school of the future. This consultation is a comprehensive vision to reform the education system and set the future trends for this sensitive and vital sector, Boughdiri told TAP. For his part, Chelbi stressed the importance of taking part in this consultation as a civic act to help shape the country's major national choices and to map out the future of the coming generations and their right to a modern national education that meets the aspirations of the people. The governor went to say that Tunisia has alw ays focused on education and intelligence to pave the way for the future and define the contours of a new Tunisia, built with the efforts of all its young people for a modern education that meets the demands of the historical situation the country is experiencing. The national consultation on education reform, which began on September 15 and will continue until December 15, is part of the state's efforts to develop a comprehensive vision of the reform of the education system at its various stages (pre-school, primary, secondary, vocational and higher education). The aim is to obtain the opinions of pupils, students, learners, teachers, parents and all those involved in the education system, in order to establish the future general guidelines for improving the education system in the areas of teaching, vocational training and higher education, consolidating the principles of equal opportunities and lifelong learning, ensuring continuity in the development of skills and opening up broader horizons for the emp loyment of graduates.
