Ariana Pilot High School hosts meeting with senior representatives of 10 prestigious Chinese universities

ARIANA: Directors and professors from the 10 most prestigious universities in China met on Monday with students from the Mohamed Fraj Chedly Pilot High School in Ariana. The purpose of the event was to present the opportunities for studying at Chinese universities, as well as the requirements for admission to these prestigious institutions. Head of Chinese language programmes at regional education commissions across the country Ahlem Ben Soussia, said the meeting was an important opportunity to disseminate information. It provides students and their parents with an overview of the conditions, costs and specialisations available for studying in Chinese universities. She highlighted the existing information gap on study opportunities in China, "despite the fact that Chinese universities are considered one of the top study destinations in the world". "There is no language barrier to studying in China, especially with the availability of English-language programmes, which remove the need to speak Chinese," sh e said. Ben Soussia noted that an educational cooperation agreement is expected to be signed between the higher education ministries of the two countries. Another agreement is expected to cover the teaching of Chinese in Tunisian high schools, she added. Source: Agence Tunis Afrique Presse
