Ammar, Hungary’s László Kövér discuss scaled-up cooperation

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad Nabil Ammar met Tuesday with Speaker of the National Assembly of Hungary László Kövér as he paid a two-day working visit (June 20-21) to Hungary. The meeting focused on bilateral relations and ways to foster them, especially in economic and cultural fields, in line with an approach based on partnership and mutual interests, the ministry said. The two officials reviewed the long-standing historical ties binding Tunisia and Hungary and the two peoples and laid emphasis on the importance of the shared values and principles. Issues of common interest and the challenges facing the two countries were also discussed. Emphasis was placed on the need to pool efforts and strengthen solidarity in a bid to find solutions tailored to the different challenges. In this respect, Ammar voiced hope to see László Kövér visit Tunisia in the coming period as this will be an opportunity to bolster parliamentary cooperation and bilateral relations.
