State Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Mesganu Arga, had a discussion today with the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Mian Atif Sharif. The two sides exchanged views on ways of strengthening the existing bilateral relations through expanding trade and investment cooperation and deliberated on other issues of mutual concern, according to Foreign Affairs Ministry. On the occasion, Ambassador Mesganu expressed the keen interest of Ethiopia to further enhance the economic relation of the two countries, notably in the areas of manufacturing, textile and pharmaceutical products. He also stressed the importance of building up aviation cooperation through increasing the flight frequency of Ethiopian Airlines. Ambassador Mian Atif Sharif, on his part, applauded the significant progress realized in Ethiopia's coffee exports to Pakistan in 2023 and underscored the significance of Ethiopian Airlines in strengthening economic ties between the two countries.
